Luis is an iconic figure in New York City, easily recognized by his signature old-school film camera. One day, while walking to Times Square with my friend Kirit to take some photos, we arrived at Bryant Park. There, I spotted Luis sitting on a chair near a kiosk and asked if I could take his picture. He jokingly replied that I should buy him dinner first, which I did. He was pleased with the photos I captured.

I have always admired Luis for his passion, longevity, and love for photography. Now in his 80s, he continues to bring joy to many New Yorkers and visitors.
