Central Park holds a special place in the hearts of all New Yorkers. I’ve always loved taking friends and family there for picnics or leisurely walks. I captured this image right after a heavy storm, which is why you can see the fog in the background. For most photographers, bad weather presents opportunities to capture unique frames.

While studying English at Fordham University, I often went to Central Park with other international students to practice our language skills and do homework. It’s incredible to have such a vast space in one of the world’s most expensive cities where both travelers and locals can freely enjoy themselves.
